Safety Screens - A Guide to Mesh Types

The summer months can be tricky keeping cool in a nation not used to the heat! It’s common for people to want to keep their windows open during the day for a cooler bedroom at night. Fly screens across windows can keep insects out, while letting cooler air in.

Whilst white or brown are offered as standard colours, we can also powder coat frames to any requested colour, helping the screens blend in with the existing window and look part of the furniture.

White framed insect screen

Standard Fibreglass Mesh

The standard choice for fly screen windows that are being fitted internally. When in situ the mesh is barely visible, allowing close to 100% light to enter the room.

White framed insect screen in stainless steel mesh

Stainless Steel Mesh

A vital component of our heavy duty fly screen doors, standing up to the wear and tear of a factory/busy restaurant environment. Also recommended for any external fly screen windows where it is exposed to the elements.

White framed insect screen in midge mesh

Midge Mesh

A smaller hole gauge that is necessary for areas with smaller flying insects.

White framed insect screen in pet mesh

Pet Mesh

Recommended for any domestic properties with cats and dogs. An extra protective coating on its surface protects the mesh against the claws of domestic animals.

White framed insect screen in anti thrip mesh

Anti-Thrip Mesh

An agricultural mesh that is white in colour, with a far smaller hole gauge for areas with small flying insects.
